Pharmacy Services

The hospital pharmacy offers three services:

  • In patient services
  • Out patients services
  • Medication Counseling

  

 

Out-Patient Prescription Medication

  1. Patients are to present their prescription at the window.
    • The pharmacist will verify whether the medication is available.
    • If available, a number is issued to the patient.
    • All new prescriptions and refills generated by the Community Clinics must be accompanied by a Medical Record number.
    • Refill prescriptionr from PMH pharmacy do not require the medical record number.
    • PMH pharmacy accepts only prescriptions written from the Government clinics
  2. Patients are to have a seat until their number is called;
    • Patient Representatives are available to assist senior citizens.
  3. Process for payment:
    • Receipts will be generated after the prescription has been entered into the system.
    • Patients will proceed to the business office with the receipt, for payment.
    • Patient may choose one of two services for collection of medication;
      1. same day pick up
      2. drop off services (medication can be collected later in the day, or within two days)
        • Medication is returned to stock if not collected within two days

 The pharmacy provides private counseling on all prescribed medications.

Pharmacy Fees

Medication is free only to the following:

  • Senior citizens
  • Children
    • Students (Primary/High School/COB)
    • Civil Servants
  • Member of the National Insurance Board Prescription Plan (NIB)

Outpatient Department

Mon-Fri            8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.          Last prescription is taken at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday          9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.          Last prescription is taken at 12:30 p.m.
Sunday             Closed

Inpatient Department
