This exam is a test which shows the entire urinary tract (Kidneys, urethra and bladder). It also shows how the kidneys are functioning.
Please inform the technologist of any allergies, especially to Iodine or shellfish before taking the exam.
If the patient has noted allergies to iodine or shellfish, he/she would have to be given medication to counteract any allergic reaction prior to the procedure.
